THE PRESERVE
Helvetica Light is an easy-to-read font, with tall and narrow letters, that works well on almost every site.
The Louis M. Groen Nature Preserve is open to the public throughout the year with the exception of November 15th - 30th. Those visiting the preserve may enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, and walking leashed pets through over 20 miles of well-maintained trails. In the winter time trails are groomed for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Don’t have snowshoes and want to give them a try, the preserve has some available to rent for a small fee for adults and children. There is a pavilion located at the parking lot and trailhead equipped with restrooms, picnic tables, benches, water fountain, maps, and a firepit (utilized during the colder months and special events). GNP hosts a variety of points of interest including the Welcome Center, Museum House (appointment only), Echo Valley Ranch, antique alley, remnants of the old logging camp, carriage house, horse barn, educational center, and 2 beautiful lakes.
