THE GROEN NATURE PRESERVE WILL BE OPENING TO THE PUBLIC WEDNESDAY, MAY 14TH FROM 10AM-6PM. WE WILL HAVE A LIMITED AREA AROUND THE LAKES OPEN FOR HIKING. THE REMAINDER OF THE PRESERVE WILL REMAIN CLOSED AS WE CONTINUE TO CLEAN UP THE TRAILS FROM THE ICE STORM. WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENCE. THANK YOU!

About The Event
Bundle up and come out with the family and enjoy a destination hike Saturday, January 11th from 11-2. There will be markers on the trail to follow to get you to the destination where you can warm up by the fire, enjoy a hot dog, smores, and hot chocolate. If you don’t have snowshoes, no worries! We will have free snowshoes available for use for adults and kids while supplies last.
The hike is 2 miles round trip.
